4 to 6 Year Olds Children's Classes
Between the ages of 4 and 6, we continue to build on the social and life skills that students have already learnt and introduce more advanced Martial Arts skills to develop their physical ability.
At this age the children are now more confident of their own abilities and have developed some skills. We can now work with them to further increase their existing abilities by building their core skills and helping them to take them to the next level.
At this age we will introduce your child to our children’s syllabus that will take them onto Black Belt and beyond. They will learn a wide range of Martial Arts skills from our structured syllabus, at each step in the process learning new and exciting things to challenge them and to expand their knowledge and skills.
The core skills that the children work on at this stage are:-
- focus
- teamwork
- control
- balance
- memory
- discipline
- fitness
- co-ordination
We work with the children on each of these core skills during lessons with a range of activities, that are designed to work them during class and also to consider them outside of the class, For example if we are working on teamwork, then we may ask the children to record 10 acts of kindness or respect towards their siblings or school friends and then come in and talk about these in class the following week.
No matter what sport or activity your child does in the future, these eight skills will help them to succeed. Just watch any children’s games or activities and the ones who have mastered these skills are the ones that shine and stand out as being the ones that everyone wants in their team.
Because we split our classes by age and also experience, your child will train with other children of their own age group, and not have to be limited or overwhelmed by younger and older children. Each class will accommodate every student’s skills and abilities in a way that is not overly demanding or intimidating. That means more age-specific instruction with better results. We guarantee it!
This age group attend a minimum of two 45 minute classes per week.
