Combat Workout Children's Classes
This class is suitable for children from the age of 7 upwards, it’s a class designed for those with some Martial Arts experience and it is an exciting high intensity workout.
This class combines the striking skills already learnt in traditional Karate and Boxing with those from the grappling arts like Wrestling, Judo or Ju Jitsu.
We make extensive use of Pads and bags for cardio vascular training and fitness conditioning. In this class we also practise conditional drills to help teach the children how to best defend themselves against likely attacks at all ranges.
In this class the children get really fit and improve their body condition, they also develop their fighting skills to a high level, thus improving their personal self-defence abilities.
Due to the bag and pad work that we do in this class, we recommend that the children wear boxing gloves and shin/instep protectors as a safety precaution.
Karate suits are not needed for this class, an Academy T-Shirt and shorts are acceptable.
Classes run for a duration of 1 hour.
